The Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program seeks to avoid the negative effects of foreclosures by requiring early contact and communications among creditors, their authorized agents, and debtors in hopes of avoiding foreclosures. The Program also seeks to facilitate modification of residential mortgages when appropriate.
